Ballinascorney went some way to sorting out their future last Wednesday night at Thomas Davis GAA club when they found a home for this year.

For the next 12 months, the club - subject to agreement with the owners - are to be based at Oldfield in Rathfarnham and will have nine holes. Ballinascorney became homeless at the end of last year. The members who had remained together were anxious to find somewhere else to play and had explored several avenues.

Finally last Wednesday they met and agreed that their new "home" would be Oldfield, which is close to where Kilmashogue play, near to St Columba's College. The important thing for the members of Ballinascorney is that they should now be able to defend the Best Cup which they won last year.

Meanwhile, the draw for this year's Best Cup - which will have a maximum of 64 teams - takes place on Monday week, March 26th, at Malahide, who will host the final on September 9th.
