Dublin SHC Final/Craobh Chiarain 2-10 Ballyboden St Endas 2-8: Craobh Chiaráin collected their fifth senior hurling championship title at the weekend, despite Ballyboden St Enda's blitzing them with two second-half goals.

Craobh were four points up midway through the second period when St Enda's reeled off 2-1 without reply. But Craobh picked up the running once more to claim victory by two points.

Stephen McDonnell scored the first goal of the game with eight minutes gone and Craobh led 1-6 to 0-5 at the interval.

Ballyboden's David Curtin and Craobh's Alan McCrabbe traded frees shortly after the break before David Sweeney set in a motion an amazing sequence which was to see St Enda's lead by three with nine minutes left.

Sweeney found the net on 48 minutes and then converted a sideline cut to level the scores, before Gary Maguire netted Enda's second goal.

However, Craobh Chiaráin levelled proceedings when Alan McCrabbe found the net directly from a long-range free. And a superb effort from Peter O'Boyle - and two McCrabbe frees - saw Craobh Chiaráin over the line.
