Ulster Hurling semi-finals: The first semi-final at Casement Park yesterday took 45 minutes to warm up but once it did it produced a thrilling finish as Ballygalget battled back from eight points down to snatch a 2-15 to 2-14 victory over Dungiven deep into overtime.

It was Martin Coulter junior who won the day for the Ards men as he rifled over the winning point to set up a final date against Antrim champions O'Donovan Rossa in a fortnight.

Tyrone representatives Carrickmore didn't deserve a 22-point hammering in the second semi-final at the same venue as they produced a display of guts and determination before losing by 5-17 to 0-10 to red-hot favourites O'Donovan Rossa from Belfast.
