BOBBY ROBSON'S Barcelona marched into the European Cup Winners Cup final in Florence last night after an ill-tempered 2-0 victory over Fiorentina.

Along with outbreaks of missile throwing by fans, both sides finished with 10 men Fiorentina having striker Luis Oliveira sent off after 59 minutes, while defender Angel Nadal walked for Barcelona in the 83rd.

Two quick goals in the first half, a header from Fernando Couto and a barrelling free kick from Josep Guardiola, made up for a disappointing 1-1 draw at the Camp Nou.

For Fiorentina, without inspirational skipper Gabriel Batistuta, who was suspended, the defeat was all the worse as referee Anders Frisk was forced to suspend the match for several minutes as coins and plastic bottles rained down.
