For those not afraid to lay odds when there is no tax to pay, Bolton Forest looks a snip in the opening four-year-old maiden hurdle . He split His Song and Unarmed over hurdles at Naas and there is nothing to come close to that pair here.

The Nancy Hogan Syndicate have already won a point-to-point and a Sligo bumper with Inis Cara this year and the day's most valuable prize could be in the syndicate's sights. He ran fifth to Mallardstown at Limerick last time.

An opponent to keep an eye on, though, is the punningly-named Scent On, who has run twice only so far without any great distinction but whose trainer Arthur Moore has booked Conor O'Dwyer for the ride.

O'Dwyer is hardly on the Hourigan selected in the handicap hurdle, where he rides Nil Faic and John Jones, Rosetown Girl. The older mare is at least a winner over hurdles.

The six-runner handicap chase has all the appearance of a well-graded dog race and perhaps Da-modar could be coaxed into doing enough to win.

Ken Whelan, who is enjoying a good run of success since his return from Australia, will surely be fancying his chances on Allatrim in the European Breeders Fund Novice Chase.
