Cork 1-9 Clare 0-9:THERE WAS drama aplenty last evening at Cusack Park when Cork left it late to secure victory.

The sides were level at the break, 1-2 to 0-5, with Cork corner-forward Brian Hurley rattling the Clare net after 13 minutes to claim the tie’s only goal.

But early in the second-half Cork were dealt a major blow when full-back Seán O’Shea was dismissed by referee Keith O’Brien for a second bookable offence.

At first, Clare took the initiative but they could never get more than two points ahead.
