CHAMPIONS LEAGUE/Round-up: Bayern Munich are staring at a first-round exit after Filippo Inzaghi's double last night gave AC Milan a 2-1 victory and inflicted a second Champions League home defeat on the Germans.

Inzaghi's header six minutes from time separated the sides after the Italian's tap-in opener was cancelled out within two minutes by a header from Bayern's Claudio Pizarro.

In the other Group G game, Deportivo Coruna got their campaign back on track as Roy Makaay's stunning volley set them on their way to a 3-1 comeback victory over RC Lens.

Deportivo, mauled 4-0 at home to AC Milan last week, were heading towards further trouble when the outstanding Daniel Moreira converted a low cross from the right to put Lens ahead on 10 minutes.

The Spanish side stormed back and Makaay cracked in the equaliser five minutes into the second half.

Makaay then set Joan Capdevila up for the second and centre-back Cesar nodded in from a corner six minutes from time to secure victory.

In Manchester United's group, Bayer Leverkusen secured their first points, beating Maccabi Haifa 2-0 in Nicosia.

Two goals from Croatian Marko Babic in the 31st and 64th minutes did the damage as Haifa struggled for most of the match.

And in Newcastle United's group, Dynamo Kiev held Feyenoord to a goalless draw.

In Group H, Javier Saviola scored once in each half to lead Barcelona to a comfortable 3-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow as the Spaniards maintained their 100 per cent record.

The visitors went ahead in the 29th minute when Dutch striker Patrick Kluivert outsprinted a defender to beat goalkeeper Sergei Ovchinnikov from close range.

In the same group, Galatasaray were held to a goalless draw by Club Bruges, the Turks failing to find the form that has seen them beat better teams in the past.

In the UEFA Cup, a late goal from striker Michael Preetz gave Hertha Berlin a 1-0 aggregate victory over Aberdeen after the second leg of their first-round tie.
