Ulster, who expect their first sell-out crowd for 12 years to watch Friday week's European Cup quarter-final against Toulouse in Ravenhill, must plan without Dungannon scrum-half Stephen Bell.

Bell damaged the AC joint in his shoulder in a freak training accident and will be out of action until after Christmas. It is a disappointing blow to a player whose fine form had captured the attention of national coach Warren Gatland. Dungannon will be without Bell for the three matches before the break.

Toulouse face a European Rugby Cup disciplinary panel in Dublin next Monday when sanctions may be taken against prop Franck Tournaire.
