School's rugby/Belvedere Colleg 25 St Andrew's College 13:It took a surging second-half performance to take Belvedere College away from the clutches of St Andrew's College in the Leinster Schools' Senior Cup first round at Templeville Road yesterday.

St Andrew's gave away height and power in the forward exchanges but they were never found wanting around the fringes where number eight Eoin Cremen was outstanding.

Belvedere's possession allowed full-back Johnny McDevitt cross for the first try before the St Andrew's outhalf, James Murray, shot between two defenders to set up Austin Woodroofe for a textbook try, converted by Murray.

Outhalf Murray and Conor Colclough exchanged penalties to leave it 10-all at the break.
