Jack Berry was yesterday hopeful of securing Michael Kinane services for Principality in Saturday's £150,000 Tattersall's Breeders' Stakes at the Curragh.

The trainer said: "I haven't been able to get hold of Mick but I have asked his agent and I am hopeful that Mick will ride."

Kinane was on board Principality when the two-year-old finished fourth in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot in June. Berry won the Tattersalls Stakes in 1993 with Palacegate Jack and added: "It's time we won it again.

"We have also been second in the race and I believe that Principality has a great chance on Saturday if there is a good cut in the ground. He won first time out at Newcastle and was second at Beverley to Rosselli who won the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot."
