SOME interesting insights into the future of amateur boxing can be gleaned at the National Stadium tonight and in the coming weekend when the National Youths Championships are decided. A total of 90 clubs have entered 133 boxers in the championships, which start today at noon.

With places in the Gaelic Youths Championships and the European Cadet Championships in Macedonia in July at stake the competition is sure to be keen. The cadet championships are taking place for the first time, with boxers born in 1981 and `82 eligible to compete.
