BIG SHU can make trainer Mark McNiff’s long trip south from Sligo pay off in style in the concluding bumper at Cork this afternoon.

McNiff has been in good form recently and Big Shu should have a major shout based on the fact he got within five lengths of the high-class Frawley at Leopardstown in Febraury.

Today’s feature is the €28,500 handicap hurdle and it may be worth taking a chance with the veteran Conem who was running on noticeably well over fences last time behind Stewarts House.

Jamie Spencer travels to Dundalk this afternoon to team up with Green Manalishi for Kevin Ryan in the five-furlong conditions sprint.
