Racing: Black Sam Bellamy, withdrawn from tomorrow's Prince Of Wales's Stakes, has been left in the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot on Saturday by trainer Aidan O'Brien.
The impressive Tattersalls Gold Cup winner is one of 17 horses in the 12-furlong Group Two contest following yesterday's confirmation stage.
Both Black Sam Bellamy and last season's St Leger victor, Bollin Eric, will shoulder 5lb penalties for their Group One wins.
Last year's winner, Zindabad, has been left in by trainer Mark Johnston along with stable companion Bandari. Michael Stoute runs Balakheri, Gamut and Princely Venture.
Godolphin have Highest and Leadership in the race, while other contenders include Parasol, winner of four of his five starts this season, and Millenary, demoted to second last time after hampering the runner-up in a Group Two race at Saint-Cloud.
