Blackrock College illustrated their intentions of going all the way in this year's Leinster Schools' Junior Cup with this convincing quarter-final victory over King's Hospital at Donnybrook yesterday.

Opening the scoring after eight minutes through a David Nyhan try, they were eventually to get five touchdowns. By halftime it was 17-0 after tries by Chris Moore and fullback Michael Kavanagh who was playing splendidly. Andrew Geraghty landed a conversion.

Eoin O'Keeffe was next to get on the score sheet with carbon copy tries as the big number eight barged over the line on either side of the posts. Geraghty added two conversions. King's Hospital did manage a deserved consolation try by Robert Glynn with five minutes remaining after his captain Shane Young made good ground in the Blackrock 22.
