A try by Gavin Hickie after a blockdown by Mark McHugh helped St Mary's to a 7-6 half-time lead, and they built this to 24-9: Keith Gleeson raced through for the try of the match in the 51st minute and combined with McHugh to set up Karl Jennings for another after 74 minutes.
Conor Kilroy, who had had three penalties, converted his own try from far out late on and also added the points to one by Gavin McCarthy, but it all came too late.
