THE BACK injury suffered by Daniel Bohane over the weekend may force Pat O'Shea and his Kerry management team into a rethink as they sit down to pick the starting 15 for Sunday's All-Ireland football championship semi-final against Cork in Croke Park.

Kerry, who were due to select last night but will not announce their line-up until tonight, were expected to make a change in their troubled full-back line as Daniel Bohane and Tommy Griffin vie for Pádraig Reidy's number four shirt.

A back injury incurred by Bohane in a game over the weekend has, however, probably cost him a starting spot. And it is felt Griffin may be needed to help out at some stage in the middle of the park, which would rule out his inclusion in the full-back line, where he has never played.

Sources close to the Kerry set-up believe O'Shea will go with an unchanged starting 15 as Kerry attempt to maintain their perfect record in Croke Park against Cork.

O'Shea and his selectors would undoubtedly face a backlash from Kerry supporters if they lost the game on Sunday having failed to make a change in the full-back line. So that could mean a place for Griffin, somewhere in defence.

The only other change could be in attack, with Eoin Brosnan, who has returned to form, getting the nod ahead of Donnacha Walsh.

But Brosnan may again be held on the bench as he came in as a substitute against Galway in the quarter-final to great effect.
