With five goals behind from the first leg of the relegation/promotion play-off, this return leg proved of little consequence for Cobh Ramblers with two early goals by the home side killing off any chance they had of saving this tie at Dalymount Park on Saturday.

The architect of Bohemians's two goals was former Celtic player Paul Byrne, who twice sent over corners from the right for first Shaun Maher and then Graham O'Hanlon to net.

And it was Byrne who nearly came close himself towards the end with Ian Bennis tipping over his fine effort.
