Bohemians 0 Longford Town 0: Bohemians could at least console themselves with the fact they gained a point on leaders Shelbourne despite stretching their run without a league win to seven games following this uninspiring scoreless draw.

Injuries continued to plague Stephen Kenny's side prior to the game, with Stephen Caffrey ruled out with an ankle problem, forcing a reshuffle in midfield and in central defence.

Bohemians were thankful not to find themselves 2-0 down within six minutes. Shay Kelly had to make the first stop of the night as early as 20 seconds in when he parried Brian Byrne's shot. Seán Francis then failed to get the necessary touch to Alan Murphy's ball across the face of the Bohemians goal.

It improved for Bohemians as the half wore on. Glen Crowe fired wide while Dave Morrison, making his first start of the season, headed past a post.

It took 24 minutes of the second half to produce an effort on goal; Graham Gartland's close-range shot cannoning off Kelly from Baker's corner.

With Brian Kerr an interested spectator, Crowe won't be happy he fluffed Bohemians' best chance of the night within a minute.

Morrison threaded the ball through to the Ireland international, who seemed set to lift the gloom over Dalymount only to drill his shot wide of the far post.
