Ruud Van Nistelroy's controversial penalty on Saturday evening ensured Arsenal cannot wrap up the title tonight, but three points against Sam Allardyce's team will almost certainly guarantee the championship crown being deposited at Highbury.
With just two games remaining, victory would move Arsene Wenger's side five points clear of Manchester United and end Liverpool's faint hopes altogether.
Even if Wenger's men were to lose their crunch clash at Old Trafford on May 8th, a home win over Everton on the final day of the season would be enough to seal their first title since 1998. A draw at Old Trafford would give them the title.
Not that Wenger is expecting any favours from Bolton, and in particular Youri Djorkaeff, who Wenger signed from Strasbourg when he was boss of Monaco.
"His goalscoring record is excellent, that is why I bought him from Strasbourg," said Wenger. "He gives France an option by playing between Zinedine Zidane and the main strikers.
"He plays the same role as Dennis Bergkamp does for us and I heard he played well at Fulham last week. His final pass is good and we will have to watch him closely.
"It's a massive game for us and despite the league positions, we expect Bolton to be at their best. We know they will be 100 per cent committed, so we are mentally prepared to face it."
Wenger will not be relaxing his zero tolerance to alcohol tonight even if Arsenal put the title champagne on ice with victory at the Reebok Stadium. Wenger's steadfast stance on drink has revolutionised the culture of a club which still bears the scars of alcoholism.
Of the change in the club's culture on an off the field, Wenger says: "It isn't only down to football, it is down to responsibility as well," said the Frenchman.
Six days from the FA Cup final clash with Chelsea, he is looking to build on this season's platform rather than falter as Arsenal did after their previous Double triumph four years ago.
