Garda Training College ... 0-11 Galway-Mayo IT ... 0-11:Much confusion reigned at Templemore yesterday.
The game started 75 minutes late and, with the sides level after 60 minutes, referee Anthony Stapleton initiated an additional 20 minutes of extra-time.
However, shortly after commencing, and with the Garda College leading by a point, the referee was informed that no additional time was necessary as the points were to be shared.
Garda College made the early running in the game and were ahead at the interval, 0-8 to 0-3, thanks largely to the accuracy of free-taker Mark Harrington.
Andrew O'Shaughnessy led the fight-back, which climaxed with an injury-time point by the Limerick star to level the game.
Garda College's prospects weren't helped by the dismissal of corner back Kevin Dilleen who was sent off in the second half.
