ROWING/News: Ireland's boys four must content themselves with a C final today after finishing fourth and last in their repêchage at the World Junior Championships in Schinias in Greece yesterday.

Only the winner of the Irish repêchage was allocated an A final place, and Ireland were never contenders in a race won by Croatia, with the Netherlands and the USA less than a quarter of a second apart in second and third.

News from Hazewinkel in Belgium, where the Irish senior squad are preparing for the World Championships in two weeks time, is Niall O'Toole has not made the lightweight four, which will be Tim Harnedy, Eugene Coakley, Richard Archibald and Paul Griffin.

Neil Casey and Derek Holland will represent Ireland in the lightweight pair.
