Antrim ... 1-14 Wicklow ... 2-10: An injury-time point by centre forward Kevin Brady earned Antrim a hard-fought victory over a battling Wicklow side at Aughrim yesterday.
A brace of goals against the run of play by wing forward Anthony Nolan after 12 minutes and by corner forward Paul Cronin after 28 minutes set Wicklow up for a five-point half-time lead, 2-4 to 0-5.
The turning point in this game, from an Antrim point of view, came after 46 minutes when their centre forward Kevin Brady rifled home a great goal after being set up by midfielder Darren O'Hare.
In the last minute of normal time it looked as if Wicklow were going to share the points as Paddy Dalton pointed a free. However, two minutes into injury time, Wicklow lost possession in defence; the ball was recycled to Brady, who popped over his winning score
