Celtic yesterday signed Rosenborg striker Harald Brattbakk for over £2 million on a four and a half year contract. Brattbakk (26) is Celtic's ninth signing of the season and has been a target for manager Wim Jansen for some time.

The striker who has scored 127 times in 148 games for the Norwegian side and 14 in 32 European Cup games said: "I am delighted to be joining a club of Celtic's stature and I am very excited at the prospect of playing in front of home crowds of 50,000. I hope also that I can help this club to win more trophies."
