Sligo Rovers 2 Bray Wanderers 0: Bray Wanderers' poor form continued last night when they were beaten by Sligo Rovers in a lacklustre game at the Showgrounds.

The visitors, short five key players through injury and suspension, struggled in a dress rehearsal for next weekend's FA Cup tie between the sides at the same venue.

Sligo were reduced to 10 men in the 52nd minute after Gavin Peers was red-carded for stamping on an opponent.

Sligo came close to opening the scoring when Liam Burns drilled the ball narrowly wide of the visitors' goal from a Chris Turner corner after only a minute. But Darren Mansaram gave them the lead in the sixth minute with a clever header from a Brian Cash cross.
