RALLYING:Craig Breen has won the S2000 World Rally Championship after his victory at the Rally de Espana yesterday.

The Waterford driver finished 2 minutes 5 seconds ahead of title rival PG Andersson to win his second world rally title in two years following his victory in the WRC Academy last year.

Breen (22) and co-driver Paul Nagle started the event slowly on Friday in their Ford Fiesta S2000, but took the lead on stage three and at the end of day one led by over three minutes. With a sizeable lead established, Breen knew a controlled drive would bring victory, and it is a lead he did not surrender over the weekend.
