GAELIC GAMES/Team News: Meath have again deferred selection of the team to face Dublin in Sunday's Leinster football semi-final at Croke Park. A continuing injury concern about Nigel Nestor prompted Seán Boylan and his selectors to postpone picking and announcing the team, which is expected to be released today. It is unlikely - pending Nestor's prognosis - to show much change from the side that defeated Westmeath in the first round.
Kildare make one change for the replay against Offaly in Nowlan Park tomorrow. Padraig Brennan comes in at left corner forward for his Sarsfields clubmate Stuart McKenzie-Smith. Otherwise the team is the same as that which started in the drawn match.
Karl O'Dwyer is still not considered fit enough to be named in the side although there were suggestions after training last night that if he maintained his rate of improvement, he might be capable of making some sort of contribution tomorrow.
Offaly will not name their side until tonight. It is believed manager Padraig Nolan is giving Vinny Claffey and James Grennan as much time as possible before deciding whether the pair - who returned as substitutes in the drawn match after lengthy absences - would be capable of playing the full 70 minutes.
Mayo have made no changes for their All-Ireland qualifier against Roscommon this Sunday in Castlebar. There had been speculation in the county that the attack, which failed to score for the final 25 minutes in the narrow defeat by Galway, might be changed with James Horan a candidate for being recalled to the starting 15.
But manager Pat Holmes and his selectors have decided to leave well alone. Suggestions that David Heaney might be ruled out because of injury have also proved unfounded.
Roscommon make three changes to the team that beat Waterford in the first-round qualifiers. Shane Curran is back in goal in place of Enda Daly. Martin Raftery comes in at left corner back instead of Ray Cox and John Whyte loses out at centre back with Paul Noone moving into the slot.
Tyrone have reshaped their attack for Saturday's qualifier against Leitrim at Carrick-on-Shannon. Only Brian Dooher and Peter Canavan occupy the positions they started in against Wexford a fortnight ago as managers Art McRory and Eugene McKenna try to freshen up the Ulster champions' attack.
Cormac McAnallen is pressed forward from midfield to line out at centre forward, with Stephen O'Neill switching to full forward in the absence of the injured Kevin Hughes.
The gap at midfield is filled by Jarlath Quinn, who gets his championshiup debut after figuring in the early games of Tyrone's successful National League campaign.
Gerard Cavlan, carrying a slight rib injury, is replaced at wing forward by converted defender Declan McCrossan, whose obvious attacking qualities have been recognised by the management team.
Brian McGuigan, now fully recovered from a hamstring injury, comes in at right full forward in preference to teenager Sean Cavanagh. Peter Donnelly, earns a call-up to the bench.
Meanwhile, Jack McCarville's reign as Monaghan football manager is over. The disappointing championship losses to Fermanagh and Louth hastened his exit, and the Monaghan County Board have already begun the search for a replacement.
