So Bristol Rugby Club have imploded

So Bristol Rugby Club have imploded. No real surprise there and a wonder that there aren't any more slipping away given the economics that are in play since the game turned professional. Not much sympathy either for the millionaire owner, Arthur Holmes, who finally pulled the plug. But spare a thought for Tongan winger Dave Tieuti. The international has been left stranded in Bristol without any means of returning home.

Tieuti had been sending money back to Tonga on a monthly basis to support his wife and child. But with the collapse of the club and the likelihood that players will not receive any money for this month, Tieuti has been left with nothing, not even his air fare home.
