Brolin set to leave Leeds

SWEDISH World Cup star Tomas Brolin revealed yesterday that he wants to end his nightmare stay at Leeds

SWEDISH World Cup star Tomas Brolin revealed yesterday that he wants to end his nightmare stay at Leeds. Brolin has been repeatedly left out of the starting line up since, his club record £4.5 million moved from Parma. His patience finally ran out when he had to settle for the role of substitute in Sunday's English League Cup final defeat to Aston Villa.

"If I cannot play from the start in a final like that I have to think about my future," he said.

"Naturally I wanted to play. The manager thinks his way and I think mine, so maybe we should go our separate ways," added Brolin who was restricted to playing the final 25 minutes as Leeds crashed 3-0.

Manager Howard Wilkinson, who led Leeds to the English championship in 1992, was booed, by his side's supporters at the end of the game.
