The Kingdom pair between them scored all bar four points of the UL tally, as Dr Cian O’Neill’s charges held out for victory despite a strong rally from Maynooth in the closing five minutes.
Goals from Buckley and Moran gave UL a six-point cushion with five minutes remaining, despite Nigel Dunne adding a second goal from an injury-time penalty.
