Ipswich manager George Burley is well aware Manchester United can be world beaters but insists he does not fear the visit of the champions to Portman Road tonight.
Ipswich were reminded how tough life can be at the top with a 3-1 defeat at Tottenham on their return to the Premiership after a five-year exile.
They now face United in the league for the first time since they were mauled 9-0 at Old Trafford, in 1995. It is still the biggest ever Premiership win.
Burley said: "We're looking forward to the game but we know that, on their day, Manchester United are capable of beating anyone in the world.
"I watched them play Newcastle and, in the first half, they were outstanding, absolutely tremendous. We need them to have an off day and we need to be ready to take advantage of that."
Ipswich could be without John Scales, Wayne Brown and Mark Venus as the trio are struggling to recover from injuries.
Chris Hutchings' apprenticeship as a Premiership manager continues tonight as Chelsea visit Valley Parade.
The Bradford boss has urged his side to compete with Gianluca Vialli's multi-million pound outfit after being edged out 1-0 by another of the big spenders, Liverpool, at Anfield on Saturday.
City will have the same squad on duty that went down to Emile Heskey's secondhalf strike but Hutchings may hand full debuts to either or both of his new strikers, Ashley Ward and Benito Carbone.
Middlesbrough boss Bryan Robson believes his new-look side can do to Spurs tonight what they did to Gordon Strachan's Coventry last Saturday and that they can upset a few teams over the season.
Gary Pallister is struggling with an ankle problem which caused him to limp off 10 minutes from time at Coventry. But Robson is not too concerned about his fitness.
Leeds United's Champions League qualifying match against 1860 Munich will be broadcast live on Network 2 tomorrow night at 7.25 p.m. Leeds hold a slender 2-1 lead from the first leg.
