Tour School: Raymond Burns and Colm Moriarty made it to this week's European Tour Qualifying School finals after Stage Two came to a close in thrilling fashion, with sudden-death play-offs at all three venues determining the last places at next week's finals.

Four players were forced to play extra holes at the Club de Golf Oliva Nova, seven at El Bosque Golf and Country Club, and a further seven at Emporda Golf Club.

After finishing with a final round of level par 72 for a six under par total of 282 at El Bosque, Moriarty birdied the first extra hole to join Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano and Scotland's Murray Urquhart in taking the last three of the 31 available places at next week's finals at the San Roque Club.

Limerick's Tim Rice and Eamon Brady missed out after finishing on 287 and 291 when the cut came at 282.

Raymond Burns, however, finished comfortably in 12th place on nine under par 279 after a final round of 72 at Oliva Nova GC to take his place among the top 29 players.

However, John Dwyer and Leslie Walker missed out. Dwyer from Ashbourne GC closed with a 72 for 286 - three outside the cut - while Walker was back on 295 after a final round of 74.

Norway's Oyvind Rojahn took first place with a 21 under par total of 267 while Jean Louis Guepy from France claimed the final spot in a play-off.

Ciaran McMonagle, after an excellent opeing round of 64, faded to finish on 282 which was three shots outside the cut-off point at Emporda GC. Scotland's Euan Little topped the leaderboard with a 20 under par four-round aggregate of 264 and the players in the play-off received a welcome boost before teeing off in the sudden-death shoot out.

The number of places on offer to next week's finals had risen from 29 to 30 following a withdrawal from the finals by one of the 79 already exempt players.

That allowed the French pair Jean-Baptiste Gonnet and Julien Van Hauwe to qualify from the play-off alongside the English duo of Darren Leng and Shaun P Webster.
