RACING:DERMOT WELD is aiming Prince Erik at Monday's Irish National but it will be business as usual on the Flat for the legendary trainer at Cork today where Croisultan can land the Listed feature, the 15-runner Cork Stakes.

Weld, a National winner all of 24 years ago with Perris Valley, sends half a dozen horses south to Mallow for what could be a fruitful afternoon.

Croisultan conceded weight when winning a handicap at the Curragh on his first start for his new trainer and a similar display again will make him hard to beat.

There are a pair of Weld runners in the 10-furlong handicap and although Pat Smullen is chalked up for Malayan Mist, there could be some each way-value in Font Of Wisdom whose Lincolnshire chance disappeared when he raced wide.
