UCC'S John Murphy had an eventful game in their Fitzgibbon Cup victory over Maynooth at the Mardyke yesterday. He scored both goals, but was then sent off for a second bookable after 41 minutes.
Murphy pounced for the opening goal inside the first minute. Cork star John Browne dropped a free near the Maynooth goalmouth and Murphy scored with a cracking drive.
Then at the start of the second-half Murphy got a second goal to end the game as a contest.
