CHRIS EUBANK is set to launch his comeback in the Egyptian capital of Cairo on October 12th.

The former WBO middleweight and super middleweight champion has just returned to Britain from Africa and is understood to be starting preparations for the fight against an opponent who has yet to be named.

It is believed Eubank has been tempted out of retirement by a £1 million deal, which has been put together by a group of" Arab businessmen. But the boxer claimed that money was not the reason for his return. "It is not about money money is a vulgar subject. I am not coming back for the usual reasons. I have been asked to come back by particular people. This is not a mistake."

The boxer refused to give details of his future opponent but when asked whether Nigel Bean was a likely candidate he replied. "As far as I know Nigel has retired."

Eubank, who was speaking at Heathrow Airport after flying in from Egypt where details had bee a finalised, said. "I am relaxed. I have never stopped training, training is a frame of mind."

Eubank quit the ring last September after being beaten twice in quick succession by Steve Collins.

He has since been pursuing a career as an actor and celebrity but has kept himself in top shape by regular working out at his superbly equipped gym which is attached to his Hove mansion. He will be working with his long time trainer Ronnie Davies.

Eubank's conqueror Collins successfully defended his title against Bean last month and a return is planned later this year.
