De La Salle, Dundalk carved out a hard-fought win in this Leinster Schools' quarter-final replay thanks to a wonderful performance from Thomas Campbell. The scrumhalf scored all of his side's points, including a hat-trick of tries.
Daniel Craig gave Scoil Eoin the lead with a try after five minutes before Campbell took control. His first two tries were almost identical as he kicked and chased before scoring in the corner to help his side into a 13-10 half-time lead. Daniel Coyne set up Campbell for his third try after 40 minutes. A try from Derek Tynan gave Scoil Eoin hope, and Barry Cardiff had a try disallowed, but afterwards they were unable to break down the determined De La Salle defence.
