SCHOOL'S HOCKEY: Muckross Park, beaten finalists in the last two Leinster Schoolgirls' Senior Cup finals, were knocked out at the quarter-final stage of the competition yesterday, a day after holders Mount Anville were ousted by Loreto Beaufort.

A Roz Campbell hat-trick helped High School, runners-up in 2000, to a 4-3 win, her winner coming nine minutes from time after Muckross had fought back to level the game having trailed 3-1.

Beaufort and High School will be joined in the semi-final draw by King's Hospital, who beat St Wolstan's 2 -0 yesterday (with goals from Louisa Johnston and Fern Macauley) and St Andrew's, 2-1 victors over Loreto Abbey Dalkey, their goals coming from Susie Murray and Heather Irvine.

LEINSTER SENIOR CUP - Quarter-finals: High School 4 (R Campbell 3, S Cairns), Muckross Park 3 (N Keegan, F Wade, R Tevlin); King's Hospital 2 (S Johnston, F Macauley), St Wolstans 0; St Andrew's 2 (S Murray, H Irvine), Loreto Abbey Dalkey 1 (E Smyth).
