The former Galway hurler Ollie Canning has called on officials in the county to sort out any differences they have with Ger Loughnane and his management team. The former All Star said the last thing Galway needed was a row rumbling on between board officials and the team management.
Hurling board chairman Miko Ryan and county board secretary Bernie O'Connor were critical of Loughnane in their annual reports. But Canning, writing in the Galway Voice, says it will impact on players if there is disharmony between officials and the team management.
"From a player's perspective, I can't see how the timing of these remarks by the officials can be helpful to the lads," he says.
