Deirdre Duncan has been enjoying her term as captain of Ballybofey and Stranorlar this season. But last week she had the opportunity to enjoy some success on the course itself.
Playing in the club's open Charity Day, the Lady Captain recorded a fine score of 40 points to see off the challenge of Letterkenny's Louise Kyne who was second with 36 points, with Anna Dillon third.
Similarly at Dublin Mountain, Una Martin had her Lady Captain's Day recently and had pleasure in presenting the top prize to Mary Waine (29) who had a nett 65 to be two shots ahead of Betty Kiernan (43).
But then she enjoyed success on the course in the President's Prize to Ladies. The 31 handicapper shot a nett 73 to earn her third spot, behind winner Mary Irvin (34) who had a nett 70 for a one shot win over Maureen Carey (42).
