Captains John Britton and Ann Horan celebrated a number of firsts at Tulfarris golf and country club recently. It was the first Captains Prize at the impressive new 18-hole course on the shores of Blessington Lakes. The women's and men's captains prizes were played on the same day, and that evening there was a joint dinner and presentation. John's prize was won by Raymond Whelan - playing off a 19 handicap - with a score of 74 points for the 36 holes. Ann's prize went to Clodagh Gale, who had an excellent 70 off a 26 handicap.
