NHL DIVISION TWO/Carlow 3-14 Kildare 2-5:CARLOW'S FINE 2010 continued yesterday as they recorded their fourth league win of the campaign at St Conleth's Park over relegation-threatened Kildare.
The visitors dominated the opening half and four points from Paudie Keogh and a Craig Doyle goal gave them a convincing 1-8 to 0-3 lead at the interval.
Keogh netted Carlow’s second goal soon after the restart and they were seemingly set for an easy win, but Kildare struck back with two goals in the space of five minutes through David Kennedy and Martin Fitzgerald.
Kildare had chances to narrow Carlow’s lead further, but they were wasteful in front of the posts and Robbie Foley’s goal five minutes from the end saw Carlow run out commanding winners.
Kildare face the daunting prospect of hosting table-toppers Clare whilst on the brink of relegation.
