Division Two A/ Dublin 3-14 Carlow 2-16: Carlow missed out on a place in the quarter-finals in Malahide yesterday as Dublin finished their campaign with a 100 per cent record in Division Two A.
Dublin had trailed by 2-8 to 1-7 at half-time but Carlow, needing just a draw to qualify, then conceded two quick goals with Alan McCrabbe and Kevin Flynn putting Dublin up by two points.
Carlow rallied in the last five minutes but scores from placed balls from Shane Kavanagh and Ruairí Dunbar weren't enough.
