NHL DIVISION TWO:CLARE DEMOLISHED an out-of-sorts Carlow at Cusack Park, Ennis yesterday by a whopping 32 points and in doing so set up a final meeting with Limerick in a fortnight's time.
Clare scored on 32 occasion as well as recording 12 wides over the 70-plus minutes. Leading by 1-15 to 0-4 at the break, the goal coming from Diarmuid McMahon, the Munster outfit practically used the second period for target practice against the struggling visitors.
Colin Ryan added the Banner’s second goal eight minutes into the second half from a 20-metre free. The speedy Jonathan Clancy added a third after being set up by Fergal Lynch in the 55th minute, while the fourth goal was grabbed by McMahon once more, five minutes from time following Ryan’s good hand-pass.
