Tyrone SFC final/Carrickmore 1-13 Dromore 1-9: Carrickmore swept to their 14th Tyrone title in the county's centenary final at Omagh yesterday.

Dromore started nervously but a 12th-minute goal gave them a massive boost. Colm McCullagh's fisted effort came back off a post, and Colm Donnelly blasted the rebound to the net.

Carrickmore responded with a goal seven minutes later. Brian Gormley send Michael Gallagher through to bring a superb save from Peter Ward, but Peter Loughran reacted to punch the ball to the net for a 1-2 to 1-1 lead.

Conor Gormley and Davitt McElroy were giving Dominic Corrigan's side the edge in midfield, and when Brian Gormley floated a wonderful score, followed by a Mark Donnelly effort, they led by 1-4 to 1-2.

Joe Campbell, from a free, and McCullagh narrowed the gap to a point with two minutes to play in the half, but points from Brian Gormley and Conor McAleer gave Carrickmore a 1-6 to 1-3 lead.

Dromore made a promising start to the second half, McCullagh converting two frees, but Carrickmore tightened their grip on the contest. McCullagh and Campbell pulled back points from frees, but their challenge had ended by the time McCullagh got a straight red card following a scuffle four minutes from the end.
