US TOUR CANADIAN OPEN:PAUL CASEY will look to bounce back from the disappointment of last week's British Open at the Canadian Open in Toronto, which gets under way today.

Casey went into the final round at St Andrews four shots behind leader Louis Oosthuizen but in confident mood after three rounds in the 60s over the Old Course.

But the Ryder Cup star could only card a closing 75 to finish in a tie for third with Henrik Stenson and Rory McIlroy, eight shots behind Oosthuizen.

However, the world number 10 is looking on the bright side after returning to full fitness following a serious rib injury suffered last year.

“It’s been a year since I injured myself and it’s sort of full circle now,” Casey said.

“The beginning half of the season, although I’ve had some good results, I must admit I’ve been playing a little bit tentatively, just trying to get back into the rhythm, into competitive golf.

“I’ve done okay and maybe this (performance at St Andrews) is a sign that the latter half of the season is going to be great for me. That would be nice.

“I’m obviously disappointed with my finish, but there are positives. I’m trying to take the positives out of this, because six months ago I had no idea if I was going to get back to this sort of form again.

“And I know I’m going to win a major, it’s just a matter of time.
