Cavan 1-9 Sligo 0-7:Cavan, who looked to have the points in the bag by half-time at 0-8 to 0-3, had an unimpressive win at Breffni Park on Saturday night. Eleven minutes into the second half Lorcan Mulvey goaled for a 1-8 to 0-6 lead.

Sligo introduced Paul Taylor 10 minutes from the end and he scored three points in eight minutes to reduce the arrears to one point. CiaMackey pointed for Cavan in the 74th minute. Sligo's Mark Breheny was dismissed in the 54th minute.
