Ulster Club Round-up: With 10 minutes remaining and the teams locked at 0-6 each, Cavan Gaels made the breakthrough in this Ulster club football preliminary-round tie with pointed frees from substitute Martin Dunne and Micheal Lyng that sealed a 0-8 to 0-7 win over St Eunan's, Letterkenny at Breffni Park yesterday.

Meanwhile, Dunloy made no mistake in yesterday's replay of the hurling semi-final, at Casement Park, as they overcame Ballycran by 1-19 to 1-13.

A snap goal by Liam Richmond in the 17th minute launched Dunloy on their way, and they led by 1-10 to 0-7 at the break. Ballycran landed a goal from James Coyle on 57 minutes and when Brendan Ennis sent over a point there were just five (1-17 to 1-12) between the sides. The losers pressed for more scores but a tight Dunloy defence held firm.
