CBC Monkstown booked a second round date against Pres Bray after yesterday's win at Belfield. Out-half Stephen Curry landed two early penalties to give Monkstown a 6-0 lead. Aran Murray then scampered over and Curry converted to make it 13-0 at the break.

But two penalties during the third quarter from out-half Gareth Conlon inspired High School's rally.

A penalty by out-half Curry with 10 minutes remaining eased the siege for Monkstown.
