NEWS ROUND-UP:THE CENTRAL Competitions Control Committee has hit the Cork County Board with a €1,300 fine after the antics around the goalmouth during last Sunday's Munster hurling semi-final loss to Tipperary at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

While the issue of crowd control is still being investigated, the CCCC have decided that Cork broke game regulations governing officials and sliotars.

A breach of regulation six, which saw a Cork hurley-carrier supplying sliotars to goalkeeper Donal Óg Cusack during the game, ensured an €800 fine.

The GAA's Central Hearings Committee has confirmed that proposed four-week suspensions on Derry's Fergal Doherty, Meath's Kevin Reilly and Down's Martin Cole are to be applied in full.

Doherty's four-week suspension begins from the game against Donegal on June 1st. Meath played Wexford the same day and so June 1st is also the starting date for Reilly. Cole's suspension begins a week later, from the day of the first game against Tyrone.
