SPL - Motherwell 0 Celtic 4: Paul Lambert celebrated his new status as Scotland captain with a sublime goal to put Celtic on their way to an easy victory. Celtic need only one more victory to retain their title - unless Rangers lose against Kilmarnock tonight.

Lambert played one-twos with John Hartson and Henrik Larsson before shooting low past François Dubourdeau and accepting the acclaim of an appreciative Celtic support.

Larsson doubled their advantage in the 53rd minute with a header from a corner and two minutes later Motherwell's Stephen Pearson was red carded for kicking Didier Agathe. Motherwell went three down on the hour when Hartson was brought down by Dubourdeau and Larsson duly scored the penalty. They added a fourth through Johan Mjallby.

MOTHERWELL: Dubourdeau; Soloy, Ready, Strong, Deloumeaux, Hammell; Corrigan, Lasley (Ferrère, 58), Pearson; McFadden, Elliott (Adams, 82).
