Celtic turned on the style to thrash third-placed Hibernian 5-2 at Easter Road yesterday.

In an ominous dress rehearsal for the Scottish Cup final later this month, two goals by Jackie McNamara put the champions 2-0 ahead after 20 minutes.

The third goal, however, did not arrive until the 62nd minute when Henrik Larsson equalled Brian McClair's Scottish premier league record of 35 goals in a season.

There was an extra cheer six minutes later for the fourth goal scored by Alan Stubbs, who was making his first appearance since being diagnosed with cancer for the second time last November.

Celtic's Didier Agathe was sent off but Lubo Moravcik made it 50 before Marc Libbra gave the hosts two late consolations.

Second-placed Rangers won 4-1 at Hearts on Saturday to secure a Champions League place.
